Dune remake: a secluded retreat nestled into the unique coastal landscape of Camber Sands

In this post-industrial Milan loft, Tommaso Spinzi has created a hybrid space that blurs the boundaries between gallery, creative laboratory and home. It’s a special kind of apartment that can incorporate a sleek vintage sports car without it eclipsing everything else, and Tommaso has the honed aesthetic and sheer confidence to pull it off.

The designer’s Milanese home, atelier and showroom provides a gallery-like setting for a host of playful, provocative statement pieces, where his own bold furniture designs sit easily alongside classic Italian pieces from the 1970s.

The designer’s eponymous studio, Spinzi, combines furniture and interior design with art direction, and features an online store showcasing rare vintage Italian designs. “Spinzi is a creative atelier that specialises in the art of the interior,” says Tommaso. “Our one-off and limited edition pieces of furniture merge the worlds of art and design. We also curate spaces and design interiors for our closest clients and, in the process, offer an amazing range of mid-century modern collectables,” he explains.

We sat down with Kirsty, the new owner of Fresh Ideas.

I’m trained as an artist, I studied in Sheffield, and after I finished my degree I just knew that the art sector wasn’t for me, I wanted something tangible, hands on, that connected me with real people but still retained some creative freedom, to be able to design for people, and see the physical impact of my work. So I started as an apprentice, worked my way through my qualifications at Fresh Ideas, and have been here ever since.

What is Fresh Ideas?  - the property quarter estate
What is Fresh Ideas?

Fresh Ideas has been established on Chatsworth Road for 25 years, we create flowers for every occasion, whether it’s a wedding, a funeral tribute, a gift, or maybe corporate modern design for a counter top.

We’ve got a gorgeous shop front, with a gift emporium upstairs with home and lifestyle goods, plants and then we have an extensive range of fresh cut flowers in store, which we’re well known for. We’re based in Brampton which has this amazing network of small businesses who really believe in the power of shopping local,  which is such a pleasure to work amongst.

Fresh ideas is set apart by our standards of customer services, we know that our job really touches peoples lives, whether its saying a final farewell, or celebrating the most important day of your life, and we really take it as our responsibility to resonant with those events and create something in tune with whatever the occasion is. You’ll be welcomed as soon as you walk through door, and we hope that  people leave feeling satisfied with every order.
